Moderators Andavari Posted April 15, 2007 Moderators Share Posted April 15, 2007 Google's acquisition strengthens its status as an online advertising powerhouse. Too bad they're spending 3.1 billion on that ad whore of a company, when nifty little freeware like Adblock, Adblock Plus, and MVPS.org HOSTS file will block all of it. 1984
I know! I get zero advertisements while surfing. If they were smart, they would buy up the above mentioned products and kill them.
Moderators rridgely Posted April 15, 2007 Moderators Share Posted April 15, 2007 I bet there probably isn't even 5% of people out there using adblocking software though. Using the internet without some sort of adfilitering is just not an option for me anymore. Its so nice not to have to see google ads, flash ads, or pop ups everywhere. Its like a completely different experience. Currently I'm using opera with mvps host file and the opera urlfiter.ini that I downloaded from somewhere.
