Humpty
It's amazing microsoft updates keep breaking things isn't it? XP pro with some SP2 updates here. Not exactly breaking things here but when I did a windows update a while ago I needed about 60-ish updates and my P4 - 3ghz - 1 gig ddr slows down. I ghosted back to before the updates and won't bother with WU anymore, preferring my own shadowing - sandboxing security. I think Dial-a-fix has those WU fixes from the link inbuilt? Moderators Andavari Posted March 25, 2007 Moderators Share Posted March 25, 2007 Well there's some updates, no need to go on griping about IE7 and WMP11 although they're two of them. One of them is for some HTTP thing for Internet Explorer 6 which is supposed to make it compatible with something rather the other which is in IE7 (obviously I don't remember that actual wording). I remember DjLizard hosting the undo file (a .dll) sometime ago and I still have it in case I forget and install that update, and subsequently register the offending .dll file.
