Moderators hazelnut Posted September 25, 2019 Moderators Share Posted September 25, 2019 It's an odd one. Why have people download it manually if it's so important? Some people won't know how to do that. Why, because they need to sync their system clock to realize it's 2019, and we expect this to be in Automatic Updates. Or on the next feature update just allow the full removal of IE and be done with it.

I had to click on several links to finally get to the download page - http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB4522007 Win10 Pro x64 Desktop (Speccy) - Win10 Pro x64 Laptop (Speccy)

Moderators Andavari Posted September 27, 2019 Moderators Share Posted September 27, 2019 That must be that new optional update it's showing me: KB4517211 Then again maybe not. Those optional updates I will now forever ignore until they're mandatory, don't feel like being a beta tester guinea pig for them again. Just noticed in Automatic Updates they should let that text be copied to the clipboard, or offer a URL link for someone to see what the update is because "Download and Install now" didn't go so well a very short time ago earlier this month. Moderators hazelnut Posted September 27, 2019 Moderators Share Posted September 27, 2019 Yes it's the optional update. You'll get it anyway in a couple of weeks automatically. Installed it without issue.
