Wookborm
Tried out CCleaner for the first time (3 passes free space wipe on C and E drives. Next time I started Chrome the home page was Yahoo search, not Google. Also, the password box under settings was full of defunct passwords and long ago deleted bookmarks reappeared. What could have caused this? CCleaner v5.22.5724 free version. Also, when you search in the CCleaner cookies list, is that search word stored/a file created or modified? Given that browsers are always changing, making browser cleaning fairly rapidly moving target, you are not going to get the best out of CCleaner if you are more than a few versions out of date. I would recommend a quick trip to https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/download to grab the latest version.
