files not removed

Today I ran CCleaner Free, it took an unusually long time to run, After running I did "analyze", a message appeared "Details of files to be deleted(Note: no files have been deleted yet)". It then gave a list of files to be deleted. Why didn't it remove the files? Do I have to do it manually?

Analyze will just look for files without deleting them, so you can see what is there to be removed.

You have to use the other button 'Run Cleaner' to remove files.

You don't need to analyze first, just run the cleaner.

If files are not being removed then they are probably in use.

Make sure that your broswer (or whatever the files are) is not running in the background.

Analyze lets you know how much space will be saved and gives you an opportunity to check through just in case there is something that you might actually want to keep. Otherwise, as NukeCad said, you can just go directly to cleaning

Ah, see that link in my signature below my posts. (You may not see it if you're on a mobile or tablet)
