sbr
Hi, I deleted on Microsoft Outlook archive file (.pst), its around 2 gb size. I am trying to recover it using Recuva full version. After recovery it shows file partially recovered. I can see the file in my local disk, I have put the recovered file in new location. When I am trying to access the file I am not able to access the file, outlook not able to recognize the file, it seems file is not in usable format as it was partially recovered. Any thoughts? thanks
Moderators mta Posted April 10, 2019 Moderators Share Posted April 10, 2019 Outlook PST files are database files. If it's partially recovered then the indexes (and the raw data) are very likely buggered. you will need to use the supplied SCANPST file (located in the Office Program Files folder) to fix the PST file - but I have to say, your chances are remote, at best. Backup now & backup often. It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last.
