Braiks
Hello, I've been experiencing some issues with my email accounts in the mail app in Windows 10 going out of sync and needing to re-enter the password. I've recently realized that Ccleaner might be erasing the passwords from the app. Does anyone know which Ccleaner setting could be doing that? Thanks. CSGalloway
It is this one I believe: [Internet Explorer Vault *] LangSecRef=3022 Detect=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer Default=False Warning=This will clear the saved passwords in the Windows Mail app. FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Vault\*|*.vcrd
Moderators Nergal Posted April 1, 2019 Moderators Share Posted April 1, 2019 csgallowway points to it being a winapp2 entry. Are you using a winapp2 or any ccleaner enhancing software? ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. No, I'm not using anything like that. I also don't have an .ini altogether as I uncheck that option when installing Ccleaner.
CSGalloway
Maybe post captures of your checked items..... that should help narrow down the correct answer.....
