New Norton 360

Recommended Posts

There are few times I can state fact. :)  Norton 360-the new trial is not compatible with CCleaner at all. CCleaner is installed on my Dell laptop, Surface, HP laptop and HP PC and all four result in the CCleaner Crash pop-up when a clean is attempted. Also does not allow the CCleaner install if you try a re-install. I should not have tried the new Norton 360 because now it auto installs each time I Downgrade back to the previous version of Norton. Just a heads up- for now I am stuck or using another cleaner utility. Let me know if anybody else has this conflict or I hope I am missing something. Thanks!

Thanks for your report.  This is a known issue and the developers are working with norton to resolve this. See here for more

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.

Guest Ben CCleaner

We have a fix for this issue which is due in the next release (5.53). I have released this fix as a Beta version which you can access before the next official release.
