jrs1675jrs
I did deep scans on several drives, then used file shredder on all of them. I then did the deep scan again and the shredded files came up. I then cut and pasted them to an external HDD and ran the recuva on the drive again. All of the same files were again recovered, again, even though they had been recovered and moved previously. Shouldn't the recovered files once moved to a new drive, be gone from the original drive permanently? Moderators Augeas Posted January 9, 2019 Moderators Share Posted January 9, 2019 File recovery is a copy and paste operation, the source files remain on the device unaltered. You can't cut and paste deleted files with Recuva. What 'file shredder' did you use?
