ikakalovich
I bought a fully loaded pc off the internet and everything works fine except for Ccleaner. It is looking for a license with the name SadeemPC in it. I deleted Ccleaner and ran a new Ccleaner. Every time I open it, it shows SadeemPC and some licence number. How do I get rid of it.

See item 10 listed in the rules here for getting a diagnosis to make sure the PC is clean: https://forum.piriform.com/announcement/15-forum-rules/
ikakalovich
I ran Malware Bytes and Avast. I then tested Ccleaner and it still shows SadeemPC. I also deleted Ccleaner and installed a newer version. It still shows up. Can you direct me to the area that has this name so I can remove it? dvdbane
Remove ccleaner folder inside "Program Files" folder after uninstall then reinstall ccleaner back
Moderators mta Posted October 30, 2018 Moderators Share Posted October 30, 2018 it's probably in the Registry. Backup now & backup often. It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last. That's usually where registered software store that info in an encrypted key. And I don't know where that would be to delete the key since I've only ever used the free version, and now only the portable free version.
Moderators Nergal Posted October 31, 2018 Moderators Share Posted October 31, 2018 Make sure, after you uninstall, that branding.dll is no longer in the ccleaner folder ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. ikakalovich
there is no branding.dll. When I want to use Ccleaner, it shows sadeempc in the registration. There must be someplace else that Ccleaner uses to find out if I am a registered user or not.
