I see this has just appeared in Announcements.

However 5.46 is what gets downloaded from Piriform site and the builds page.

What has been fixed?

Have the privacy options changed (tickboxes not pre-ticked anymore?)

Will it force update users from 5.46?

The changelogs for 5.47.6701 and 5.47.6716 are identical, except the latter has a bugfix for a checkbox in the Privacy menu that we felt was essential to fix.

You should be getting v5.47 on the download now.

And where might the 6701 changelog be????

The changelog listed here:https://www.ccleaner.com/es-es/ccleaner/download

is for v5.46

Ok, the changelog was updated (although, if you click on show the complete changelog, it stars with v5.46, not 5.47), but the download page stills lists v5.46

And, the links

https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/download/standard

https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/download/portable

https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/download/slim

get version 5.46, not 5.47!

Will users be pushed to this build even if they have autoupdate disabled?

We have no plans to bring users to this version.

Hi Stephen Piriform:

Today's change log for v5.47.6716 at https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/version-history does not mention the bug fix "Calling the Windows 'ping' function is now done explicitly from the /system32/ directory (fixes a potential vulnerability)" that is included in the original list of bug fixes for v5.47.6701 in Vishal Gupta's 18-Sep-2017 askvg.com article CCleaner 5.47 Now Available for Download.

Was this vulnerability left unpatched to expedite the release of the new v5.47.6716?

Hi Imacri,

That change is indeed also in v5.47.6716.
