Bucky Kid
Greetings, I'm sure one of CCleaner categories causing my volume panel applications levels resets but don't know which. Does somebody know which one it is? All volumes are always reset to 100% after /AUTO cleaning is done. Also I'm having WinRar folder MRU list wiped out. I wonder if /AUTO cleaning also performs some registry cleanup.
Moderators Nergal Posted September 14, 2018 Moderators Share Posted September 14, 2018 Auto will clean anything you have checked off in the cleaning section. Don't know what's causing the volume change but the winrar can be found in the applications tab. Auto won't run registry integrity section, but MRU are usually cleaned in the cleaning section so it's there that winrar is being cleaned. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Moderators mta Posted September 14, 2018 Moderators Share Posted September 14, 2018 what is your make/model of the sound card? knowing that may help identify where it stores its settings that may be getting cleansed by CC. Backup now & backup often. It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last. Moderators Andavari Posted September 14, 2018 Moderators Share Posted September 14, 2018 WinRAR MRU can be unticked in CCleaner so that it doesn't clean it. As for the system volume being changed I don't know, other than if you use a downloaded winapp2.ini file move it out of the CCleaner folder to see if that stops the behaviour from happening again.
