JHill
Why when I run CCleaner Professional does it SKIP Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer folders?. They are checked on the Windows tab.
Moderators mta Posted September 10, 2018 Moderators Share Posted September 10, 2018 g'day jhill and welcome to the forums. it'll skip any browser that it detects as open or running in the background, and for Edge and IE that also relates to anything shared with Microsoft libraries they use between other products; so potentially things like OneDrive, Skype, Defender etc. Backup now & backup often. It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last.
Moderators Nergal Posted September 10, 2018 Moderators Share Posted September 10, 2018 Be sure to turn off background running of edge Option 2 on https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/7225-turn-off-background-apps-windows-10-a.html ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
