Cheverny
Hi, I'd like to run ccleaner (portable version v5.44.6575) to automatically clean user's cached files (chrome, IE, Remote Desktop, etc..). If I use ccleaner in UI mode, cleaning is effective. With the command line ccleaner.exe /AUTO nothing works : program starts and stops immediately without deleting any files. Any idea ? Thanks for your help.
Moderators mta Posted August 6, 2018 Moderators Share Posted August 6, 2018 testing the memory banks here (too many versions, too many issues) but I recall an issue with the /AUTO switch - I think - in v5.44 try going back to v5.43 (again, from memory, also had some issue, privacy? browser cleaning? kaspersky?) and see if that helps. previous versions available at FileHippo. if v5.43 doesn't do it for you, guess what? .... you may want to go back even further. myself, I have left CC at v5.40 Backup now & backup often. It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last.
Cheverny
Sounds good... CC 5.40 is working in command line on a remote desktop session (srv2012R2) Thanks !
Bucky Kid
It seems I have same issue with /AUTOSC swicth. Surprising me that another new version was released without fixing this still present bug. CC 5.43 is latest version where unattended cleaning was observed working reliably.
