Beachronny
Once I've recovered a file to the drive of my choice, how do I delete it from the recuva recovered list?
Moderators Augeas Posted July 26, 2018 Moderators Share Posted July 26, 2018 You can overwrite the contents of the file by right clicking on it and selecting secure delete. You can't get rid of the file name in Recuva's found files list, as this would be modifying the MFT, which no sane person would attempt. A wipe free space would do it, and get rid of everything else as well, but you may consider this to be overkill.
Beachronny
Thanks! I just want to get rid of the file once I've got another one copied on another drive. Just to free up some space on the original drive, and so I won't keep seeing it in the Recuva recovered files. There are so many files recovered that I get confused as to what I've copied to elsewhere. (DUH!)
