Moderators Nergal Posted July 5, 2018 Moderators Share Posted July 5, 2018 Is this the same file/issue as https://forum.piriform.com/topic/52177-how-to-repair-vhd-file-of-hyper-v/ ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Moderators mta Posted July 6, 2018 Moderators Share Posted July 6, 2018 .vhd files are accessible with 7-Zip. not sure about .vmdk ones. I've recently switch from Oracle and VMWare due to them not working with the latest Win10 and the workarounds being bigger than Ben-Hur. I'm using Win10's inbuilt Hyper-V for virtual PC's and love it. however the XP VM didn't have the network drivers for my modern mobo - no worries - opened it's .vhd file with 7-Zip and copy/pasted whatever files it needed straight into a folder on the .vhd Backup now & backup often. It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last.
