CCleaner automatically removed?

Recommended Posts

Some months ago I bought CCleaner (at that moment version 5.41). After installing and running the application perhaps was removed/uninstalled.

When I at this moment reinstall the 5.41 version and ask if there is an update, I see CCleaner is downloading version 5.43, but after running that application, it is also uninstalled again.

What can I do to solve that problem?

Regards,

Guido

perhaps your AV software is being over-zealous and removing it - what is your AV?

As well as wanting to know what av you use, try uninstalling the CCleaner version you have, rebooting and then downloading 5.43 version from here

I am using McAfee antivirus since a large couple of years, without any problems.

Removing CCleaner, rebooting the computer and installing the new version works well, but that's the free version. I want to have the bought (updated) version. What can I do?

Guido

in the Free version of CC, go to Options > About > Upgrade to Pro > enter your registration details.
