JMH3
H, I am using v5.43.6522 on XP Pro SP3. When I open CCleaner I get a warning popup with this message, "The selected files will be deleted from your PC. Do you wish to continue?". Does anyone know how I can get rid of this? TY! Moderators Nergal Posted May 30, 2018 Moderators Share Posted May 30, 2018 I've never seen a message like that come from ccleaner, is it possible that your antivirus is watching and "protecting" said files? ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. JMH3
Hi, Thanks for the reply! I am pretty sure it's a CCleaner thing as I disabled my AV. I will attach a screenshot. Thanks!
Moderators Nergal Posted May 30, 2018 Moderators Share Posted May 30, 2018 Yeah certain that is from ccleaner. I'll ask the developers why it doesn't have a "don't show this again" checkbox ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. JMH3
Thanks for the reply Andavari! I have already done that, doesn't make it go away. Maybe a re-install might fix it?
trium
sorry, i cant tested it on my xp machine.... perhaps secure your ccleaner.ini file with your settings before you try a reinstall ps: sorry again - i see, probably you dont have a ccleaner.ini file - because you dont have checked the box Versions of CCleaner Cloud; Introduction Ccleaner Cloud; Ccleaner-->System-Requirements; Ccleaner FAQ´s; Ccleaner builds; Scheduling Ccleaner Free Es ist möglich, keine Fehler zu machen und dennoch zu verlieren.
