Moderators nukecad Posted April 19, 2018 Moderators Share Posted April 19, 2018 I installed the latest version on my phone and see that in the settings there is a new "Booster" setting. What is this supposed to do? Opening it there is a list of installed apps. If you deselect them all you get 'Select application to stop'. Is that all it does, force stop running apps? *** Out of Beer Error ->->-> Recovering Memory *** Worried about 'Tracking Files'? Worried about why some files come back after cleaning? blurtout153
first i am not a techie' but have used the android version of cc and the booster cherry picks/ suggests some apps to close, and compiles lists of other of your phones apps to close. i usually just close what is suggested in the first interface and surprise' ..not..its usually g. play and or chrome. i check he box and it doesnt seem to affect the chrome page i may have open..i guess it goes after duplicate chrome pages' or something in the background. i have only started to go to the other app list linked via this booster , the other apps listed normally in settings' of my moto x phone. i seem to remember it is realitively harmless and doesnt uninstall it. i would ask smart folks about this. just my two cents. gt, boise
Moderators nukecad Posted August 3, 2018 Author Moderators Share Posted August 3, 2018 Cheers blurtout, I asked that back in April in the hopes of a response from Piriform.... Doesn't matter anymore as I now have my phone in 'Developer Mode' where you can set a limit on how many background processes are allowed to run at the same time. *** Out of Beer Error ->->-> Recovering Memory *** Worried about 'Tracking Files'? Cktony
Using this booster seems to be faulty. No matter how many apps I select to put to sleep, it will only work on 1-6 then say it's done. I then have to repeat it until every app is asleep. Anyone else have this problem?

Moderators Nergal Posted August 13, 2018 Moderators Share Posted August 13, 2018 Thanks, like I said, I won't be much of a help here. I used booster right after your post, and I can't make much sense out of it. I was not able to replicate your bug. Sorry. Hope you get some better help.
