TopGeek
Since I updated to v. 5.41.6446 (64 bit), the results of cleaning are now presented in two blocks, 'Privacy' and 'Junk'. To return to the familiar format that has always appeared spontaneously in the past, I now have to select the button, 'Show Advanced Report'. I have searched settings but can't find any way to restore the old format. Have I missed something? I am using Windows 10 Creators Edition. dono
So what's the thinking behind such a change without giving the user the option to change the default? It always ticks me off when developers do that for no apparent reason. Advanced report is superior to all other views, so it makes no sense to not have an option to make that the default. Duh.. TopGeek
Well the 'promise' to allow the default cleaning report style to be modied in the next edition has not happened. Version 5.42 still has the same reporting style as 5.41. So, is it still in the pipeline?

Previously, the devs said it would likely be in the may version ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. argon
I do NOT like this new reporting format at all. Worse still, is that even after unchecking the two "24 hour" options in settings, the cleaner still repeatedly skipped my temp. internet files. Somehow I was finally able to do it. I don't like paying for this, the Pro version, when I could be frustrated "for free" without the purchase.... Making all these PITA changes may stroke developer egos, but does not improve customer experience.
