spudnick
My main drive is a Seagate SATA II 3.0Gb/s and my secondary drive is a SATA I 1.5Gb/s yet when I run the Bookmark I get strange results my SATA II drive performance is 1.87 MB/s and my SATA I drive Performance is 30 MB/s This seems totally backwards as the SATA II drive should be twice as fast per specs. What could be causing this issue? I have ran defrag and now it only shows a 1% fragmented. It is a 750Gb drive with 58% freespace and the SATA I drive is a Seagate also 250GB with 44% freespace. I've noticed lately my computer hanging up andthe HD light being lit basically HD is running and then when the HD stops running the computer works normally again. How can I fix this issue? Moderators mta Posted March 21, 2018 Moderators Share Posted March 21, 2018 double check how those drives are connected to your motherboard. some SATA ports on the mobo are coloured to represent different access speeds. Backup now & backup often. It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last.
