Moderators Nergal Posted January 15, 2018 Moderators Share Posted January 15, 2018 Beta software is not covered by CCleaner. The developers receive the betas at the same time you do, so it would be impossible for it to guarantee that it'll work with them. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. The Seeker
I have been using Chrome Beta for at least the last two years - this is the first time it has failed to appear in CCleaner's 'Applications' menu. Will this be resolved?
Moderators Nergal Posted January 19, 2018 Moderators Share Posted January 19, 2018 Yes, if an error is there, you can likely expect ccleaner to clean it once out of beta ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. The Seeker
Users of Google Chrome beta usually stay on that channel, such as myself. As previously mentioned, this has only become an issue with the latest version.
The Seeker
I noticed today that Google Chrome beta now resides in Program Files (x86) folder, whereas previously it could be found in the %AppData% directory. I wonder whether this is the reason for the odd behaviour?
