These people are liars and scoundrels.  They know full well that CCleaner free edition installs Avast anti-virus with ZERO warning or consent.  Just happened to me with v5.43.6522.  BURN IN HELL, Piriform/Avast.

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.

Apparently Avast bought Piriform in July, 2017 and broke CCleaner.  It used to be a handy and reliable program.  It is fast becoming junk full of bugs.  Now Piriform also dumps third party programs for profit in its installer.  Sloppy, greedy and disappointing.

Third party Google software has been included for many years. For profit yes, they had to have some way to justify a free version and it was that way before they even had an option for any paid versions such as Professional, etc. The third party software can however be avoided by using the Slim or Portable ZIP versions.
