Moderators hazelnut Posted November 16, 2017 Moderators Share Posted November 16, 2017 Can you give some more details please. What operating system do you use? What anti-virus do you use? How are you downloading and installing? Are you downloading it through ccleaner itself, or are you downloading it from here... https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/builds Is it the free version or the pro version? Thanks. Ron2017
Thanks, I'll just wait until they fix it and release an update... To me its clear that this is an issue between CClean, and a spicific version of MS SQL file

To me its clear that this is an issue between CClean, and a spicific version of MS SQL file Instead of waiting while they fix it, you can download the portable version ( https://piriform.com/ccleaner/builds ) and over write the old version with the contents of the zip. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Moderators mta Posted November 16, 2017 Moderators Share Posted November 16, 2017 and you could try this; uninstall your current version first. then go into the Program Files folder for CC and delete its contents (keep the .ini file if you have customised settings). download the latest build from here; https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/builds reboot the PC install CC from your downloaded file. if no luck, try the install with the PC in Safe Mode. and as @Nergal suggests, try the Slim or Portable builds to see if they work. Ron2017
Thanks but I dont have time to deal with figuring out the issue with the CCleaner, I will wait until they fix it, and leave the old one running.
