bacillus
I am presently using Win 10 32bit version 1709 having previously used version 1703. I have the latest CCleaner 5.36.6278 and previously had version 5.35.6210 with Win10 1709 installed. The behaviour stated below also occurred with Win10 version 1703 with the previous two builds of Ccleaner The issue: If I run Ccleaner just after startup without using any program or app beforehand, the application works as it should and cookies are not skipped in either Edge or IE. (I only use IE as my browser). If I first use IE then close it (it's not running in task manager) and start Ccleaner, it opens correctly. If I try to clean the files, it always state that cookie cleaning for Edge and IE are skipped. The other progam options work as intended. Additionally, clicking check for updates leads to a wait of around a minute before IE opens. I have attached a screenshot of what I get when IE opens. The screen is empty with no address in the bar and the history pane on the left is empty. If I close this empty web page and try to open a new IE window, nothing happens. The only way to recover IE functionality is to reboot. This behaviour is perplexing as this program runs fine on my Win 10 64bit desktop. I have tried to attach a debug log file but apparently I'm not permitted to upload this type of file to the forum. Thanks in advance for any help.
