pompste
Hi, I have Windows 8.1 and under the "advanced" category there is no listing for IIS LOG file cleaning. Why is that? Thanks
Moderators mta Posted August 21, 2017 Moderators Share Posted August 21, 2017 do you have an ISS server or have the Internet Information Services feature installed? pompste
do you have an ISS server or have the Internet Information Services feature installed? I don`t know is IIS server is installed or not. How would I check for that?
pompste
Hi, I checked my system with a different system cleaner and it found 3mb of IIS log files, so apparently IIS is installed on my Windows 8.1 Pro 32 bit system. I don`t know why CCleaner does`nt have an option to clean those.
trium
on my w8.1 home 64 bit there isnt too but on xp pro it is always there Versions of CCleaner Cloud; Introduction Ccleaner Cloud; Ccleaner-->System-Requirements; Ccleaner FAQ´s; Ccleaner builds; Scheduling Ccleaner Free Es ist möglich, keine Fehler zu machen und dennoch zu verlieren. I`d like to know the reason why it`s not listed in Windows 8.1 My other system cleaner has IIS log file cleaning---I`ll just have to use that one for those files apparently. I prefer CCLEANER for all my other system cleaning.
Moderators mta Posted August 25, 2017 Moderators Share Posted August 25, 2017 whatever folder or registry entry is needed to trigger CC in showing you have IIS log files to clean isn't being found on your W8.1 system. CC on my Win10 system doesn't show any ISS log files either. Backup now & backup often. It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. Good to know others have the same issue and whatever IIS folder/reg entry that triggers CC, is`nt being detected, is the reason.
