Moderators DennisD Posted March 23, 2017 Moderators Share Posted March 23, 2017 NOTE: Split and moved from "https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=47809". Multiple cell LiPo packs need special care! they must be balance charged after every 4 to 5 cycles> ( charge - discharge ) otherwise the cells become unbalanced! causing extreme heat build up and cell expansion while charging and then fire! Physical damage to these batteries can cause an internal short and also fire! Who on earth uses these things? In fact why on earth would anyone use them, even in an industrial environment? Or do you guys with corks in your hats like to live dangerously? (Couldn't resist that Craig, and I'm sure mta will be firing a salvo back.) Moderators mta Posted March 23, 2017 Moderators Share Posted March 23, 2017 when you live in a country where every second native animal is capable of killing you, what's an exploding battery or two!!! Moderators DennisD Posted March 23, 2017 Author Moderators Share Posted March 23, 2017 Guys, if I see a small harmless house spider run across my floor you have to scrape me off the ceiling. The stuff you lot live with on a day to day basis is mind boggling. I was following a series of videos some time back about a guy down your way who has a Dyson as his favourite spider catcher. This video is hilarious at the end and the Huntsman looked like it had great fun in the Dyson merry-go-round. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C47I6brLvgg How you can live with these things coming into your house, especially kiddies rooms as in that video, is beyond me. I would seriously never be able to sleep. The last spider I saw was in my kitchen, sitting on an Apple.

Moderators DennisD Posted March 24, 2017 Author Moderators Share Posted March 24, 2017 mta Do you mean foot wear "thong" or "G" type string of thong ? Exactly what I thought and I now have an image of an Australian guy chasing after a spider with a thong!! My minds eye can't make up it's mind as to whether he's wearing it or trying to catch the spider in it. And after checking that video link above I realise I posted the wrong one. This is the video of the Huntsman in the kids bedroom and the "catch" doesn't quite go as planned ... https://youtu.be/lFF_Hvb9rFQ?t=16 @ craig. Huntsman spiders aren't venomous? You live there with these things so I wouldn't contradict you, but that's not what I've understood from all the wildlife programs I've watched. But I think some may have exaggerated how lethal it is ... http://www.spiders.com.au/huntsman-spider.html Still wouldn't like a bite from a big'un. Especially the variety that are partial to an Apple.

Moderators Andavari Posted March 24, 2017 Moderators Share Posted March 24, 2017 Guys, if I see a small harmless house spider run across my floor you have to scrape me off the ceiling. On the news the other day which I heard playing in the background in the other room they mentioned Australian Funnel Web Spiders may help stroke victims. Didn't catch all of the story however it's likely something to do with their venom. It's interesting how something so deadly could in the future save lives. Moderators DennisD Posted March 24, 2017 Author Moderators Share Posted March 24, 2017 That spider was absolutely huge. The first time I saw that vid, I thought it was a joke. By the way I kept pasting the wrong link again in post #18. Got the right one now. I blame YouTube. It's been around so long I think it has senior moments. craigathus
Australian attractions Well if anyone is planing a holiday here in my country here are some suggestions "click the link below" http://www.australia.com/en/places.html Some stats > Heap's of space here > Australia is 7,682,300 sq. km; England is 244,820 sq. km; so, Australia is approximately 31 times bigger than England. Australia's Size Compared. Australia is the planet's sixth largest country after Russia, Canada, China, the USA, and Brazil. At 7 692 024 km2, it accounts for just five percent of the world's land area of 149 450 000 km2, and although it is the smallest continental land mass, it is the world's largest island ! BTW Beware of drop-bears, gundiewolups, and buryakas! OK theres no such thing as a drop-bear! A drop bear (sometimes dropbear) is a hoax in contemporary Australian folklore featuring a predatory, carnivorous version of the koala However! BEWARE! of Gundiewolups & Buryakas! http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/builds http://www.piriform.com/docs http://www.postimage.org/
