Moderators Nergal Posted November 11, 2016 Moderators Share Posted November 11, 2016 Make sure wmi service is not disabled https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Management_Instrumentation ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Willy2
- The socalled WMI sub-system has been corrupted. WMI is used to pull up A LOT OF info from your system. There's a program that can fix that. Tweaking's Windows Repair. http://www.tweaking.com/ It can fix A LOT OF things incl. WMI. Run - at least - repairs #4 & #5 under tab #5 ("Repairs"). - Keep us posted. System setup: http://speccy.piriform.com/results/gcNzIPEjEb0B2khOOBVCHPc A discussion always stimulates the braincells !!! debbie4987
I ran the Tweaking.com program. Took a lot of time but I followed the directions to the letter. My system starts faster, the issue is resolved. Speccy is running great. Thanks so much for your help.
Willy2
- Good to hear that it worked out well for you. - If Windows doesn't give you loads of errors (next time) then you also can run the repairs only and skip the "optional" steps. Just see what works out best for you. System setup: http://speccy.piriform.com/results/gcNzIPEjEb0B2khOOBVCHPc A discussion always stimulates the braincells !!!
