AY1985
Problem UAC pops up warning about CCleaner wanting to make changes to computer each time on fresh boot (or restart) into Windows Desktop. This occurs each time on logging into the Desktop. Windows Version Windows 10 CCleaner Version v5.16.5551 (64-bit) When problem started? Today after upgrade ASC 8 to ASC 9. What did so far to fix? - CCleaner --> Options --> Advanced --> Skip User Account Control Warning (but shows error: The task object version is either unsupported or invalid) - Disabled CCleaner automatic start up on Windows start - CCleaner run as administrator - CCleaner upgrade to latest version - Googled for same problem (read and try to apply other fix instructions) Please fix this annoying UAC pop up on each Windows start !!! AY1985
- System monitoring was already turned off - I turned off active monitoring and restarted, but pop up appears again By the way, any idea why I (and probably others) receive the "Skip User Account Control Warning" error ? Edit: next I will try uninstall & deep clean
Moderators nukecad Posted April 1, 2016 Moderators Share Posted April 1, 2016 When problem started? Today after upgrade ASC 8 to ASC 9. So updating another company's file/registry cleaner is now giving you an error when running Ccleaner on startup. Do you not think that the problem may just be because of the one you updated, rather than blaming Ccleaner? Have you got both scheduled to run at startup and they are clashing? That error message about the task object version is related to incorrect registry entries for scheduled tasks. Try googling it for various solutions. *** Out of Beer Error ->->-> Recovering Memory *** Worried about 'Tracking Files'? Worried about why some files come back after cleaning? AY1985
- Yaba daba doo !!! - Problem fixed by uninstall & deep clean (and reinstall) - I hope this thread will be usefull for future readers (who face similar problem) Adios amigos ! PS. @Nukecad It is remarkable that I never scheduled CCleaner to run at startup (despite it was trying to start up on his own after the ASC upgrade).
