Terost
I put the winapp2.ini in the CC folder and it takes too long to load up so I started editing the winapp2.ini document to remove the game and application info that I do not have. There are too many game application data in the winapp2.ini. Without the winapp2.ini, CCleaner starts up right away. With the winapp2.ini, it takes 30 seconds to up to one minute for the blue button Analyze to show up.
Moderators Nergal Posted October 30, 2015 Moderators Share Posted October 30, 2015 Winapp2 is not supported by this forum outside of the thread. The winapp2 file is meant to be a template, and should not be used in whole or (if it is )you have to deal with the time delay as that's ccleaner looking and every entry and checking to see if it is on your pc. Due to forum "rules" for keeping winapp2 troubles to its thread, I've been forced (by myself) to lock this thread. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Moderators Andavari Posted October 30, 2015 Moderators Share Posted October 30, 2015 Hint: The post could've been easily moved and the OP informed! The info you're needing: 1. Go to the first post in the winapp2.ini topic here that was made by the person maintaining the file named Winapp2.ini: http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&p=175835 2. Click the Spoiler "Show" button under "ADVANCED USAGE AND TRIMMING" to open the instructions in it. 3. Follow the instructions in it. By following those instructions it will remove cleaners you have no use for (i.e.; software that you don't have installed) from the winapp2.ini file making it significantly smaller and allowing CCleaner to load and operate faster.
