funguy
Hello, I'm new and I don't know much about CCleaner. It was pre-installed on the computer I bought. My PC runs Windows 7 64-bits. Every time I turn on my PC, CCleaner does an automatic scan. It takes some ressources, I can see the CPU % up in windows task manager when it's running and as soon as the alert window 'CCleaner can clean X amount of data' pops up, CPU % is back to normal. Basically I'd like to disable these automatic scans at startup and just perform manual ones whenever I need to. I do not want to stop CCleaner from launching in the background at startup, I just want to disable automatic scans on startup. I went through the options today but didn't find how to turn it off. Anyone can help ? Thanks in advance.
Moderators Nergal Posted September 17, 2015 Moderators Share Posted September 17, 2015 In ccleaner's settings turn off all monitoring setting, including keep updated. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
