Moderators Andavari Posted August 27, 2015 Moderators Share Posted August 27, 2015 I went looking for a way to test my bandwidth after finding out so many sites like SpeedTest.net require Adobe Flash Player in order to function. Well I uninstalled Adobe Flash Player months ago and refuse to install again just to test my bandwidth, so I went looking around and found out about HTML5 Internet Speed Tests. I've tried several of them, some seem to work, others seem downright broken. I also found this article on TechRepublic about the subject.
Moderators mta Posted August 27, 2015 Moderators Share Posted August 27, 2015 I've always liked speedof.me as it seems to give realistic figures plus doesn't require Flash. Backup now & backup often. It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last. nikki605
DSL Reports (in your linked search list) recently launched one that works pretty well for me. http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest Win10 Pro x64 Desktop (Speccy) - Win10 Pro x64 Laptop (Speccy)
Moderators Andavari Posted August 29, 2015 Author Moderators Share Posted August 29, 2015 Just tried the DSL Reports link and I like that one, it seems accurate. It was able to test my upload speed where so many others failed at that.
