Moderators Andavari Posted July 30, 2015 Moderators Share Posted July 30, 2015 (edited) Beware of an IRS phone scam here in the U.S. where some British sounding man states he's an officer and you'll be in trouble if you don't phone him back. It's a scam! Edit: If anyone gets an IRS phone scam, or IRS email scam here in the U.S. it can be reported to the government on this page: https://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam.shtml Edited July 30, 2015 by Andavari

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Moderators Andavari Posted July 31, 2015 Author Moderators Share Posted July 31, 2015 Reported to the government? I trust them less than the scammers. Your own personal opinion in that case however the only way to catch the people or rings doing such illegal things is to report it directly to the people who need to know about it to stop it. I reported it because the government makes it very easy to do so - as long as you have retained the information available which in my case my caller I.D. had the information needed for reporting the phone number it was called from.
