My wife decided that this was enough to allow me to build myself a new gaming pc. My old one was still fast (Fx6300, HD 7870) but I wanted something new for all the games coming out soon. Oh and I think she wanted the old one so she could play the sims 4 better. Here is what I got: Core i5-4590 R9 290x 8gb DDR3 256gb Samsung Evo SSD 1tb Western Digital HD This thing is awesome! I've been building rigs with the same specs (no add-on graphics though) and have found it all comes down to having a SSD. now that I/O bottleneck is gone even i3's and 4gig's RAM is more than fine. and Congrats on the Masters, it is no small effort. I started to upgrade my Bachelor to a Masters a while ago (in computing) and found it too disconnected to the 'real world', got disillusioned and dropped it. so well done.
