Is the cat going upstairs or downstairs?

it's obviously coming DOWN the stairs towards the cameraman.

easily worked out by the treads and risers of the staircase.

also, being a cat, they happily walk themselves down but demand to be carried up. :)

bloody cats !!!

No stairs I have ever seen or used have any sort of lip, it would be very counter-productive as they would trip you up.

All those believers in the UP answer just aren't very observant.

I note that you haven't given your opinion @hazelnut, come on, 'fess up.

. . .

Harrumph.

After a series of experiments with one of the neighborhood cats, a big tom, heretofore pretty friendly, I can say without reservation that the cat is going UP the steps.  Cats going up steps point their tails up.  But they don't much like it if you prod them with sticks.  :(

As soon as I got bandaged up I rushed back here to report.

There is no cat it's really a rhinoceros

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.

OK.  Watched it.  Thanks, had seen it.  Also there is this:

Looking at the cat's shadow, and the position of his left front paw, it is patently obvious that the cat is backing up the steps.

I love it, "backing up the steps".

Covers all angles, a very politically correct response.

Should have been a politician @login123

Happily there are no rhinoceroses around close so no way to test that theory.  >whew< :P
