Thomasina
This is the first time I've used your program. Analysis said 19% fragmentation at beginning of process. I ran the program, leaving it on overnight, but admit I failed to disable AV (Avira)--didn't see that instruction till after the fact. The following morning the display said "defrag complete" but the summary display was: 82 files fragmented, 32.6 G 216 total fragments 33% fragmentation -- was final display. It appears the (list of remaining fragmented files I got when I clicked 'View list') fragmented files are system files primarily. That didn't sound good. Does that mean this was the summary of action that was taken--- what the program found and fixed---or what is LEFT to be defragged or what cannot be defragged? I am confused. Not a tekkie here...lol. My computer is running much faster. The displayed layout of the disc looks a little weird though...the blank sectors all seem to be in the middle of the disc, the written sectors not all tidiiy collected at the beginning of the layout of the disc. Just looks different from what I've seen before. (and I checked and all restore points are intact, btw. I saw that was a prob some time back). But can you enlighten me on what this actually means? Thanks muchly!
kroozer
Did you ensure all these are ticked ☑ . . Also you can defrag pagefile.sys by running a Boot Time Defrag . .
