But only sometimes and only some, so, in my opinion, it does not make sense to add it to the routine cleaning and too many people would remove all folders found if it were added as a tool.

 

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.

Sometimes it's useful to automatically delete empty directories on a selected area or external device (USB Flash disk or external hard drive)

 

I know it's just a suggestion however; CCleaner only works by default on the system drive (usually C:\) so for USB Flash Drives and External HDDs it wouldn't even bother scanning them for anything to remove.
