SMalik
I think 'Applications' LangSecRef name should be changed. Also, Internet Explorer should be moved under the 'Applications' tab or may be a seperate tab for internet browsers.
Winapp2.ini
Internet Explorer is actually a system component of windows! You can remove the front end (IE) but you can't remove the backend (Trident/upcoming Spartan) which is the existing justification for it being where it is TMK winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github
Moderators mta Posted February 12, 2015 Moderators Share Posted February 12, 2015 I'm not even sure you can remove the front end. If you uninstall the current version, it automatically installs the previous at next reboot. From memory, if you keep doing that, it goes back to IE5 or 6 than says "Hey, cut that out" and won't let you uninstall it further. Backup now & backup often. It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last. Moderators Andavari Posted February 12, 2015 Moderators Share Posted February 12, 2015 For WMP we need a Recycle Bin tab to put it into, just sayin'.

Trident also powers the Explorer (file explorer not IE) so it can't be removed. winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github
