lmmv 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2014 Hello. I've been using Ccleaner for a long time and never had a problem until recently that it started giving an error, as you can see in the picture . I uninstalled it and reinstall and still not working. Hope someone can help. Thanks.

mta 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2014 some AV programs adversely effect CC and some AV's don't completely 'turn off' when you disable them. up to very recently I had been using AVG IS 2015 will no ill-effect on CC. but to eliminate your AV, or other background tasks, see if CC runs to completion with the PC in Safe Mode. lmmv 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2015 Finally, i found the solution. It was the K Lite Codec Pack. I dont know why but I just uninstalled it and now CCleaner is working normally. Thanks for your support.

APC 0 Report post Posted November 30 I had the same problem and found another solution for those who use BitDefender: Go to "Protection", "Advanced threat defence", "Settings", "Add applications to exceptions" and introduce "ccleaner.exe" from the path where the application is installed . Andavari 1 Report post Posted December 1 Doing that with BitDefender doesn't always work, see here:https://forum.piriform.com/topic/56164-cannot-install-ccleaner-563/

The message "Ccleaner has quit unexpectedly" was suddenly shown after several years of using it without problems. This message disappeared after including "ccleaner.exe" in the BitDefender exceptions list. Edited December 1 by APC
