Wrong report of Virtualization capabilities enabled

Recommended Posts

Hi there!

I think I found an issue with the way Speccy reports the virtualization capabilities on my CPU. Here are my specs:

I was having issues running 64bit virtualized guests using Virtualbox. It says virtualization was disabled. Checked on speccy and said virtualization was supported and enabled.

Yet, the actual parameter on the BIOS is called Secure Virtual Machine and was disabled! After I enabled it, ran Speccy again and it says now the feature is disabled but the VM are running perfectly now. Looks like that bit is being read wrongly.

Hope this report helps.
