Moderators rridgely Posted May 3, 2013 Moderators Share Posted May 3, 2013 Those of you in the US may want to take a look at this deal: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?SID=t79IYLQzEeK9AubHJGciMA0_MZ.X3_K4N_0_0&AID=10440897&PID=1225267&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-cables-_-na-_-na&Item=32-562-003&Tpk=N82E16832562003&cm_sp= I'm not exactly a fan of paying for security software but this is a great deal. Malware Bytes is the only paid security software I keep on my own personal computers. This is $12 for a lifetime licence. All of my PCs already have this on them but I bought another license just to support this company.
Moderators mta Posted May 4, 2013 Moderators Share Posted May 4, 2013 it's always been a lifetime licence hasn't it? so it's the half price cost of $12 which is the sweetener. Moderators Andavari Posted May 4, 2013 Moderators Share Posted May 4, 2013 That, or they're ready to sell their stuff to a new company. It happens. Don't make us nervous! I can only imagine some dufus of a big corporation ruining a good thing.
Moderators hazelnut Posted May 4, 2013 Moderators Share Posted May 4, 2013 I think it may have a bit to do with restoring confidence after what happened a couple of weeks ago, it caused a lot of pain mainly for real-time users. Some businesses had hundreds of crippled machines. http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=125182 Support contact https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general or support@ccleaner.com
Moderators rridgely Posted May 4, 2013 Author Moderators Share Posted May 4, 2013 Interesting Hazel. I didn't even hear about this issue. I only keep one desktop on all the time but it wasn't affected.
Moderators mta Posted May 4, 2013 Moderators Share Posted May 4, 2013 wow, thanks for that Hazel, I too heard nothing of that one - which turns out to be a very good thing indeed as it goes. because of bandwidth issues, I have MBAM set to manually download and remind me every few days. he seems very heart-felt in his apology, good to see a CEO putting his hand on his heart instead of his head in the sand.
