Those of you in the US may want to take a look at this deal:

I'm not exactly a fan of paying for security software but this is a great deal. Malware Bytes is the only paid security software I keep on my own personal computers. This is $12 for a lifetime licence. All of my PCs already have this on them but I bought another license just to support this company.

it's always been a lifetime licence hasn't it?

so it's the half price cost of $12 which is the sweetener.

That, or they're ready to sell their stuff to a new company. It happens. <_<

Don't make us nervous! I can only imagine some dufus of a big corporation ruining a good thing.

I think it may have a bit to do with restoring confidence after what happened a couple of weeks ago, it caused a lot of pain mainly for real-time users. Some businesses had hundreds of crippled machines.

wow, thanks for that Hazel, I too heard nothing of that one - which turns out to be a very good thing indeed as it goes.

because of bandwidth issues, I have MBAM set to manually download and remind me every few days.

he seems very heart-felt in his apology, good to see a CEO putting his hand on his heart instead of his head in the sand.
