kroozer
I always use the first button (toggle editing mode) when inserting text, for editing purposes. Clicking that button alternately changes only the text font between my usual Courier New and Tahoma. The codes still appear with either setting when clicking Preview Post. ☐ ☑ ☒ ☉ — ➢ ➤ —► ✓ ✔ ◄ ► Some of my older posts with tick boxes do show correctly. Only since the malware attack in November has this issue appeared. Is anyone on the forum seeing the tick boxes, arrows and check marks which I inserted above, correctly? Edit: (should look like this) . . .
Moderators DennisD Posted January 4, 2013 Moderators Share Posted January 4, 2013 I still get the occasional odd thing happening with rich text enabled, which it is all of the time, but I've never had what you're experiencing K. Unless someone chips in with the same experience, this couldn't be some form of account corruption in the database could it? A squirly thing? EDIT: XP and Opera by the way. EDIT2: Alan's right. The years are flying off you.
login123
wxp home, ie8 here. Just an FYI: Clicking on the reply panel shows this: Clicking on "More Reply Options" or "Use Full Editor" shows this: Edit: +1 for Dennis's post, you look younger every day. Nice. The CCleaner SLIM version is always released a bit after any new version; when it is it will be HERE :-) Pssssst: ... It isn't really a cloud. Its a bunch of big, giant servers. kroozer
Log, do you see a line of codes in my post 3?
login123
Yes. These: ☐ ☑ ☒ ☉ — ➢ ➤ —► ✓ ✔ ◄ ► Not a clue what they mean, but yes i see em. When i open them in the editor they look like the picture below: But outside of the editor they look like the numbers in my post. kroozer
Thanks. I'm thinking that either Piriform needs to tweak a setting, or IP Board dropped support for the symbols.
login123
I think I was typing when you posted that. Read post 7 again. I see a line of codes in your post and mine, these: ☐ ☑ ☒ ☉ — ➢ ➤ —► ✓ ✔ ◄ ► But in the editor I see the characters in that picture from photobucket. Moderators DennisD Posted January 7, 2013 Moderators Share Posted January 7, 2013 K, how do you make those symbols? And just out of interest, if I paste those codes in to my editor, I just get the codes and not the symbols as Login does, even after previewing. kroozer
. . . if I paste those codes in to my editor, I just get the codes and not the symbols as Login does, even after previewing. The codes don't show the symbols as in the past cos the forums are broken. . . . how do you make those symbols? I'd simply copy them from a wondrous Unicode Character Map and paste into the forums, but that physics.ox.ac.uk site has discontinued them. You can copy some from my old post and save them into a UTF text file, and post when the forums get fixed.
