JDPower
I gave up long ago. I just monitor the forums everyday to compensate I'm a total forum failure lol, not been here anywhere near as much as I used to be (I know, and here's me complaining about it ). I only knew there was a new version cos I'm subscribed to your winapp2 thread and you mentioned it there
Guest Keatah
I hope that version 4.x.x series isn't significantly different in how it operates.

Moderators Nergal Posted September 26, 2012 Moderators Share Posted September 26, 2012 please keep this thread about 3.23 discuss 4.x rumors in the little thread below this one also don't expect the devs to answer questions about it…until they're ready to that is ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Moderators mta Posted September 26, 2012 Moderators Share Posted September 26, 2012 is there a way to go deeper into detail with the change logs? statements like "Added support for Firefox 16" & "Improved performance for Windows 8"; I'd like to know what that entails as a heads-up. Guest Keatah
Hear hear! "Fixed minor bugs" What does that mean? Is it a fix that I may unknowingly be compensating for by doing something with options? And now that it has been fixed, how does it affect my configuration? Moderators mta Posted September 27, 2012 Moderators Share Posted September 27, 2012 Good luck with that request Keatah, I think you are pushing your luck trying to get any software house to 1) admit to a bug and 2) tell you what it was. I'm just happy for it to be fixed. But something like "added support for FireFox 16", it may be nice to also say, as a sub-heading, "Mozilla has changed the folder location of cookies", as a simple example. that way we can adjust things on our PC's. Like, taking my simple example further, if I had FF15 cookies included in a backup, I'd know I'd need to change things if I upgrade to FF16. Just a thought... Winapp2.ini
I'd also voice my support for a slightly more verbose changelog. winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github
Moderators Nergal Posted September 27, 2012 Moderators Share Posted September 27, 2012 … shouldn't you be looking to Mozilla for those sorts of things?. Winapp2.ini
I was referring to the bugs more than the support for mozilla changes. winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github
Moderators mta Posted September 27, 2012 Moderators Share Posted September 27, 2012 and my Mozilla example was just that, an example. but, yes, if Mozilla came out and had a changelog that stated in a bit more detail what the changes were, that also would be helpful in some cases. If Piriform thinks it's important enough to list in a changelog, lets show some specifics, it doesn't have to be a War and Peace epic, just some more detail would be nice. well, I think it would anyway. call me crazy !!! Moderators Nergal Posted September 27, 2012 Moderators Share Posted September 27, 2012 for a bit I was doing a file compare with winmerge between each of the exported files, but I'm not on a pc as much these days so haven't been able to. The harder ones would be any Special key entries. usually the devs go through old posts and say try {newverison} for bugfixes ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.
