Willy2 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2012 (edited) When I change the language then RECUVA (RC) forgets to read/update a number of text strings. Only restarting the program makes RC show the appropriate text strings. So, RC does know which strings to use but it forgets to show them. In this particular case I changed the laguage from dutch to english but RC continued to show the dutch textstrings. See the picture in the attachment. Willy2 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2012 In the latest Recuva version (v1.44) this problem hasn't been solved. I changed the language from english to dutch but one part of the strings aren't translated/replaced. I must restart Recuva to get these strings translated. It concerns the strings inside the box ("filename or path"). See attachment.
Willy2 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2012 In addition to the previous posts: The problem is that Recuva (RC), after changing the language simply doesn't read all translation strings from the language file. It does read all the stings after RC has been restarted. The solution is - IMO - actually quite simple. RC should contain one "read translation strings" (sub-)routine that's called upon when necessary when the program starts and when the user changes the language.
