pongo
The "Browse For Folder" dialog is very inconvenient because it has no Path edit box where I can paste the path I want. It would be perfect if you add an edit box at the "Browse For Folder" dialog. It is used in at least 2 places: Options - Include - Add - Drive or Folder - Browse Options - Exclude - Add - Drive or Folder - Browse
David Alexander
I agree. It takes too long to navigate through the folders. It would be easier to paste the path you want. You could also right click an existing item in the include/exclude lists and choose "Manual Edit."
Moderators Andavari Posted July 18, 2012 Moderators Share Posted July 18, 2012 +1 It would be nice to have that feature, and it really is inconvenient when the path/file is in a hidden area because then we have to enable Hidden Files and Folders in Windows for the path/file to even show up in CCleaner's browse window. Moderators Nergal Posted July 18, 2012 Moderators Share Posted July 18, 2012 I like this suggestion +1 (note you can already choose something random, then manually edit it, but that's a work around not a solution) ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Guest Keatah
A roundabout way I do it is open an explorer window and drag and drop the address/folder right into the include list. It's always good practice to review the folder contents before including it anyways!
