chipmck
Downloaded CCMacSetup104.dmg, opened, copied icon to /Applications and double-clicked. Icon appeared in Dock and bounced over 1 minute and then stopped bouncing. No window/panel of the user interface opened. Attempts to Quit via the Dock icon had no response. Attempts to Quit via Activity Monitor had no response. Got a response to Force Quit via Activity Monitor. Level 103 and 102 acted the same. Product is not usable at this level 2012.07.25 Edited to correct typos Edited July 20, 2012 by chipmck
Moderators DennisD Posted July 4, 2012 Moderators Share Posted July 4, 2012 I saw your posts regarding the previous versions chipmck, and I'm sorry you're still having the problem. And can we take it as a given that other programs you've installed work OK? I can't test I'm afraid until Piriform give me a Mac (I'm not holding my breath), so it will have to be developer input for this one. They do read these posts, so I would hope they would respond to this recurring problem. Sorry I can't give you anything better.
dgsamaral
Lords., Good morning! I'm having the same problem mentioned, When you start CCleaner I encounter with a screen with a possible problem with a field for description and an email field with three minutes to close. I already removed and installed again the same version and even tried to downgrade, but without success. What can I do? Is it a bug of Ccleaner? I use a MacBook Pro IOS: 10.7 Lion
Moderators Nergal Posted July 20, 2012 Moderators Share Posted July 20, 2012 Question: Earlier there was a confirmed bug in which a missing font caused this sort of issue, pinned to the top of this forum CCleaner needs the font 'CourierNew'. MacOS had Courier in the System Fonts but not CourierNew - so it let me disable it. Thanks guys for taking the time out to help - appreciate it! Please make sure couriernew is there (though I'm not sure if this is still the issue, it'll help rule it out) ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. chipmck
CCleaner does not get far enough to be loading fonts and yes, the (#%_%# font is available Stop grasping at straws!
Moderators DennisD Posted July 20, 2012 Moderators Share Posted July 20, 2012 I appreciate your frustration, but this isn't a case of grasping at straws. We're all volunteers here, don't work for Piriform, and we don't have Macs with this being a predominately Windows forum. The devs know this, and I'm surprised that none of them have deemed this topic, or this continuing problem, yet worthy of a reply bearing in mind that CCleaner for Mac is still relatively new. Try and appreciate that any reply we make is better than leaving topics like this with no reply at all, and at the very least keeps the topic from disappearing off the page. The best I can do is point the devs to this thread for you, which I will do.
