tide
I have been using CCleaner for a long time, and i have been encountering this problem for a long time. Everytime when i run my ccleaner to clean, my windows live messenger would forget my username and password. Even if i have checked "Remember Me" in windows live messenger. I have untick "Windows Live Messenger" in ccleaner and it is still happening. Can anyone help me?
nodles
What's the posted image (it's blank)? Uploaded on another page, now I can see it. Probably not CCleaner's fault; I've everything ticked (with Winapp2.ini) and my WLM doesn't forget passwords/accounts. Also if you've unticked WLM, CCleaner wouldn't affect it anymore. Which Windows & CCleaner version? You could try to reinstall the latest Windows Live Messenger, and why not CCleaner also. You've "Custom Files and Folders" ticked; have you added something in the "Include"-list in CCleaner? Edited June 26, 2012 by nodles

nodles
Does WLM forget username/pw if you don't run CCleaner? You could try to close/logoff WLM and start it again (and try rebooting also), without cleaning with CCleaner.
tide
WLM will continue to remember my username and pw if i dont turn off ccleaner on startup.
nodles
WLM will continue to remember my username and pw if i dont turn off ccleaner on startup. Do you mean WLM remembers if you don't run CCleaner (in boot/startup)?
Moderators hazelnut Posted June 27, 2012 Moderators Share Posted June 27, 2012 What do you have ticked in 'custom files and folders' advanced settings? Do you use Winapp2 ini file or use CCEnhancer? Have you tried uninstalling ccleaner, rebooting, and then installing ccleaner (without using .ini file if you had saved it) also leaving everything set at default settings? Are you using Yahoo messenger as well? I ask because of this... http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f10/solved-windowslivemessenger-will-not-save-login-and-settings-after-reboot-310281.html Support contact https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general or support@ccleaner.com
Alan_B
Is it certain that Windows Live Messenger does not depend upon :- Adobe Flash cookies ; or Internet Explorer, I suspect that simply unticking W.L.M. may be unsufficient
tide
Do you mean WLM remembers if you don't run CCleaner (in boot/startup)? sorry for my english. IF i turn off ccleaner during start up (ccleaner does not run), wlm will continue to remember my login and password.
tide
TO ALL: PROBLEM RESOLVED! DO NOT TICK "Network Password" I have unchecked it and everything is back to normal now. Windows Live Messenger continues to remember my login.
nodles
Great! That was my next "suspicion". Weird that I haven't lost WLM accounts even if I've ran CCleaner (Network Passwords ticked) in Safemode (and also in boot if I recall).
