bsr
Hello, ccleaner clear well the history from the previous url also IE (Right click internet explorer\properties\general\clear history). When i look in the address bar all the address are cleared (or seam to be cleared) because when i enter www.go IE propose me www.google.com. And the same with some other address but not all ???!!! The 2 programs clear some previous url but not all Why ? i will not use Right click internet explorer\properties\content\autocomplete\uncheck web addresses box. This will no longer save to the address bar ok but i will sometimes clear the history but i will also later use the autocomplete. thanks for your help
pwillener
I think what you mean is AutoComplete, not History or previous URLs.
bsr
Hello no, no the history from the previous address url must be clean with ccleaner and IE. It seam to be cleared because when i click on the arrow on the address bar i see no more address but when i begin to type www.go here( yes you are right) it is the autocomplete that complete the address with www.google.com but how can that because the history is normaly cleared ? Rob
Make sure everything under IE is checked off, and IE as closed when you run CCleaner.
bsr
Hello thanks of course all is checked. The history is well cleared but when i begin to type www.go IE automatiquely give me www.google.com. How is it possible if the history is cleared? Ok if the history is not cleared and because i checked in internet explorer\properties\content\autocomplete\ (but i see no more in the drop zone from the address bar) ?????? Ultimate Predator
Do it in safe mode (for XP - run - msconfig - BOOT.INI - /SAFEBOOT - repeat the same but untick /SAFEBOOT to get out). Then get out of safe mode, scan in normal mode see if they're still there.
