Pugwash
The % Fragmentation in Analysis results changes to match the current state during defrag. Surely the point is it shows the analysis results from before the defrag? The Fragmented Files and Total Fragments remain intact. Winapp2.ini
I think the idea is that it will show you fragmented files that remain post-defrag. winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github
eL_PuSHeR
I think this is a bug.
braindedd
+1 Analysis results should not change when defragging.
kroozer
I think it's an intended improvement, otherwise Piri would have addressed it by now.
Winapp2.ini
Maybe a dev could chime in and let us know the intended function of this? winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github
eL_PuSHeR
If it's a feature rather than a bug it could be toggled on/off via a configuration setting. Otherwise, I do not understand its use.
Pugwash
As I say, it keeps the "Fragmented Files" and "Total Fragments" values so the percentage figure is wrong if it's supposed to be based on these.
cychan1228
It has happened to my machine (Windows 7) recently - fragmentation percentage remains unchanged after the program stops running. When I run the program again, it works like snail, scanning each and every file on my HDD......
Super Fast
It has happened to my machine (Windows 7) recently - fragmentation percentage remains unchanged after the program stops running. When I run the program again, it works like snail, scanning each and every file on my HDD...... You appear to have a good amount of free space. Have you tried Update to 2.09, then go to settings/options/advanced & checkmark the following: - Stop VSS when defragging - Use custom fragmentation settings & check both those options - Uncheck cache analysis of multiple drives - Save to .ini Then, click ok. I notice you are running in Basic skin mode. Do you have all your drivers installed for your Sata drives/Display/Audio, etc.? Or does your computer simply not support Aero or have it disabled for some reason? Am not sure if you have it fixed yet, but you may also be able to run it in debug mode & post a logfile to assist. Thanks!
