November Desktops

Recommended Posts

Here we go again, winter's almost here, correction, already here for some of you lucky guys across the pond. :)

As usual, thumbnails only for those on low bandwidth, and no Imageshack.

Another "on the road" shot folks.

I fell in love with this area and I am moving up there on the 8th of November.

Look it up on a map....the township of Scottsdale Tasmania.

It's just a pretend Windows 8 desktop Dennis :)

It's on my xp machine, there's quite a few around and some of them aren't bad.

I clicked on Hazel's thumbnail and had to answer the door.

On returning I saw her desktop proudly bearing a Firefox 8.0 Beta (stability  ) Update Available pop-up :)

Ah, I couldn't seem to get it to work. Weird, never had a problem installing custom themes until I started using windows 7..

You wouldn't think to look at it, but I'm definitely no killing machine. (Well, maybe on here sometimes  )

I think last month's desktop would have been more hazardous - when the wife looks over the shoulder :)

I couldn't get it to work. A bit upsetting, because I quite like the Ashtray theme. :(

I've downloaded and extracted it. Seems very involved. It certainly isn't WindowBlinds. But I do admire its style. I might give it a try sometime in the future.

I used Universal Theme Patcher for patching theme related DLLs for Win7, although UxStyle Core works on my system as well.

You'll need to use both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the theme patcher for Win7 x64.

Maybe that's why....the UxStyleCore x86 refused to go in once I installed the x64 version

edit: trying that resulted in trying to run explorer.exe not working. also any installations. Actually, pretty much everything not working

I guess I'm just not meant to have this theme :(
